WHY I HATE MY JOB....part 1

Hey ALL...

Well I figure that most people reading this are friends from YAHOO...So in my typical fashion let me EXPLAIN why i HATE my job in a point by point breakdown...

1. The work SUCKS...all i'm doing is filling orders either physically or by data entry or stocking ish or doing inventory ALL DAMN DAY!! This ish is so mind numbing I don't know how much MORE i can take...

2. The Pay and Benefits...let's just say that I make in the LOW teens by hour and I have NO medical benefits...wtf right?

3. The HOURS -OK not only do i have to be there at the CRACK 8:30 (that's EARLY for me) but these folks don't believe in taking BREAKS AND lunch is ONLY 30 minutes....WTF WTF??

4. My 'trainer'-while at first I thought he was a 'TOM' now I know different BUT...he's a WORKAHOLIC he doesnt even take lunch and any 'EMERGENCY' on his part becomes a DOUBLE emergency on mine....he's a decent trainer but his OVERWORK is killin me...and O don't let me be late to work ....(but he's getting better) ....but STILL...

5. No GROWTH- Although this company does have GROWTH potential...I can't see myself GROWING with it...wtf it's a damn fashion ACCESSORY company selling zippers, irons and all kind of other INANE ish...

((AGAIN DON'T GET ME WRONG)) I AM THANKFUL TO HAVE ((((FINALLY)))) FOUND a job...and the 'boss' is kinda cool...I TRULY hate waking up and having to drag myself into the joint...it's like one of those jobs u 'dream' about but NOT in a good way....feel me?? to be continued...

Anywho ...I may ride my bike into work today...not sure yet...It's a 5 mile ride ONE WAY...since I only have TWO dollars till next Friday I may have to....but BEFORE i go on let me say this about the job...It's for a 'Fashion Acessory company' I got the job cuz my sister knows the owner and he likes her...there appears to be a chance for me to 'work my way up' but right now I'm in the 'shipping and orders' part of the business...for the last TWO nites I have had dreams about this PLACE and that's NOT good...lol..and with my rent worries I haven't ((REALLY)) been able to sleep well...

Luckily I did get some food stamps last week so I have some food and the job pays me each week...so it's NOT all bad....also I got my press kit for my book and it looks GREAT ....right now the book 'Avoiding The Dating Games-How To Spot A Potential Relationship is in the FINAL editing stage and I hope to have it between now and June ((stay tuned)) but until then....i accept ALL donations no matter HOW SMALL...look to the UPPER right if u wanna donate ((if u decide to donate there is a 4.95 charge I believe so please be advised))...I will begin developing this blog MORE in the next several days ...but right now I gotta get ready for WORK..(Oh DID I mention that I gotta be there like at the CRACK of dawn too?)) lol...on the NEXT blog I will explain MORE how I got into this situation ....it's NOT what u may think

I GOT A ((PERMANENT)) JOB...y'all... BUT...Part 1

I hate ALREADY and this is ONLY my THIRD day...lemme tell u why

1. It's a job where u have to stand ALL day
2. You only get 30 minutes for lunch (no break time)
3. You can't use the phones or get on the internet (not even at lunch time)
4. The pay SUCKS i used to get paid a hour what I now get in a ENTIRE day
5. It's nothing BUT repetitive work (filling orders, lifting boxes and doing inventory)
6. My direct supervisor is a JERK he expects me to do 'overtime' even when he won't

Now don't get me wrong I'm THANKFUL for just having a 'job' butI KNOW i can do BETTER than this...I have a housing court date on Tuesday (landlord is trying to EVICT me) I'm behind in rent 3 months ((now 4)).... I'm hoping to be able to pay at least 2 months rent and I believe the housing advocate lawyer said charity would give me the rest....but in the meantime I'm so damn broke I don't even have car fair until next week...GRRRRRRR to be continued....

I honestly don't mind working in ANY mailroom as long as i am TOLD what to do and keep busy with TASKS all day...(it helps the day go by faster for one and two I like to be as efficient as possible) ...I just finished a two-day assignment at a HUGE law firm in midtown Manhattan...Working there and being in the midst of New Yorker's is what i TRULY love...there's just something about the hustle and bustle of the city that just makes me KNOW i'm in the right place...
